Title: CP wiring help needed
Post by: UncleMame on May 14, 2011, 12:35:32 pm
GP Wiz 40 issue

I daisychained up everything, connected it to ground, connected the CP wiring to the push buttons correctly - The GP Wiz40 connects to the computer, and the device is recognized by the PC - it just doesn't recognize any buttons.  I am using Mala, and in the controls tab, it recognizes my Joysticks(connected directly to the computer via USB - 360 Ultimarcs), but it does not see any of the buttons.

I am not an electrician by any means, so any advice needs to be noob-friendly :) .  I used the wiring kit via GGG, so I wouldn't have to crimp anything and hopefully would not run into issues due to poor connections.  Any advice ?

Thanks

I got a little further - CP buttons are "working" - GP wiz windows application sees them, however Mala does not - How can I have it recognize these/map them.

Thanks

I like to concept of Mala, but it is murder to get to work.  :banghead:

Found a workaround with Key2Joy - Working now.  I would love to know if anyone could comment on the need for a keyboard mapper with Mala........

You shouldn't need any other software...just go into the Mala config for controls and assign functions to buttons. That's what I did with mine!
