I outputted a Romlister .xml file for hyperspin and I don't know exactly where to put it or what it should be named. Also once someone tells me where it goes will hyperspin "update" its wheels and only show those games in the xml file? Please help!

Good question. I don't know. I am looking into it now for what I'm doing. Have you posted your question at Hyperspin? If you do, link to it from here so I can check it out

The database file needs to be named exactly like the system that it's for. For instance MAME. The file should be called MAME.xml and placed into HyperSpin/Database/MAME/
HyperSpin will show only the you have games listed in the database file.
We also have a document in our Docs section specifically for this Docs - Using ROMLister (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=103&Itemid=115).
