Ok Mk9 was locking up on me and I read in the forums that it sounds like the cache on my xbox's hdd was corrupted and that I needed to clear it. That sounded dangerous so I read up and it says that clearing the cache only deletes system updates for games. I also read that the first system update for MK9 locked down the dlc fatalities.... so I went...."Hmmmm....."
Anyway to get a free toasty fatality for scorpion, do the following.
1. Clear the cache for your hdd (in the system settings/memory section)
2. Unplug your ethernet cable from your xbox.
3. Load mk9.... since there isn't a net connection it can't check for updates.
4. Go into fatality tutorial, select scorpion and infinate time.
5. At jump distance hold block, press down, up, up release block and press Y
6. Toasty!
I couldn't get the other classic fatalities to work but your mileage may vary.
Also once you reconnect to xbox live it won't work anymore, BUT the fatality is still listed in the moves list.
Not particularly useful, but if you don't have the dlc and want to see toasty in person it's good for that. Also note that it shows up on your stats at the mk homepage.
You all do have your MK9 account linked to the mk homepage right? It has a national leaderboard thing and tracks waaaay more stats than the game shows you...good fun.

Any idea on when they are going to fix the auto-parry glitch?

Is this even necessary? Just don't update.
Yes it's necessary if you want to get the achievement. It'll sign you out of xbox live if you don't update and thus anything you do isn't saved. Even though you are offline with your cable unplugged, you are still signed into your profile and thus when you finally do hook it back up, the toasty fatality will be listed in your achievements on the Mk website.
