Been lurking for a long time and figured out how to get Mala running through this forum. I thought I would finally sign up and share my progress to get your opinions.

They are very nice and now the question is: Are you going to share them?
-
Good job, the cracked earth theme backing them up ties the emulators together very professionally. Loadman on this board has a gallery on his site I'm sure you've seen - www.malafe.net (http://www.malafe.net) I think. If you decide to make them available I suspect he would be happy to host them there. Welcome to BYoAC.

Thanks....believe it or not the background image is a high resolution pic of a log cut in half. They are 1280x800. I have no problem sharing them if people are interested.

Yeah, I like the MAME one in particular

Feel free to save these if you like. I am using these on my 40" sony and they look really good.

You have some nice clear cut out images. It would be nice to get one big Photoshop file so we could swap out the background and still use the images you cut out.

I like that marquee list - how is that done?
-
I no longer have the PSD files as my HD crashed last Wed. :banghead:
I lost a ton of work. The Mame Computer still has the layouts though. I had a ton of High Res images. :dizzy:

I figured this out, with your help. In the lower left of the game list properties, you have to check 'image list', then at the top select the type of image from the drop down menu.
I had to play around a bit with the parameters to get the desired size of and spacing between marquees, plus I had to use 'stretch to fit' as my marquee images aren't all the same size.
However, this kind of feature benefits from a smooth scroll (a la Hyperspin or Ultrastyle) rather than an instant shift of the list.
Too bad about your loss. Did you have high res marquees?

how do i get these on my layout..?
-
Hi, these look really great, however wouldn't we need the *.mll files? to use them?
many thanks,
Dave

Very nice, I'm still looking for a layout for my sega CD and 32X. I made my own, but it is so bad I won't show it in public. ;D
