After just recently switching my Street Fighter II game of choice from Champion Edition to Super Street Fighter II I noticed that there appear to be different forms of stun. For example if an opponent gets knocked down and stunned at certain times there will be stars above their head, other times ducks, and sometimes little black things. I've done some google searching but I can't seem to find an answer to this.... or for that matter even mention of it. Can anyone tell me what they mean? Are they different per character, or move you stun them with? Or are they just completely random and I shouldn't really be paying attention to them?
On a side note from all of that I think T. Hawk is the worst f******g street fighter II character ever invented.... cheap a**hole

Found this eventually:
When a character gets dizzy, either stars or birds appear above his head.
Generally, the bird dizziness lasts a bit longer than the star dizziness...
It's a good way to judge whether you have enough time to run in and land a
combo. Of course I always try to regardless :)
On Super there are four kinds of dizzy animations:
These are grim-reapers, not skulls. As far as I know, they have nothing to
do with killing your opponent. The only difference between the symbols
floating above your head is how difficult it is to 'RECOVER' (to coin a CPU
phrase). Incidentially, here's the list in order of ascending difficulty.
Angels - Stars - Birdies - Grim Reapers.
