Title: Opinions on custom CPO artwork for quad cp
Post by: br1027 on April 28, 2011, 12:46:16 pm
Just looking for opinions/suggestions on my artwork. It was created by my brother using GIMP. The character art was collected from around the web. I plan on printing on self-adhesive vinyl to attach to my cp, the quad control panel blank from Mameroom - http://www.mameroom.com/Products_Quad_Kit.asp (http://www.mameroom.com/Products_Quad_Kit.asp)

Looking for any suggestions applying the vinyl artwork to the cp and a method for protecting it(without using plexiglass). Any info from anyone who has had experience with this would be greatly appreciated.

Very cool.  When I purchased my panel and I got the same quad as you, I was advised against plexi for the simple fact that the vinyl is really durable on its own.Spilling something on it will not hurt it... now ur buttons on the other hand...  LOL...   I think it would be just fine...

Ya, I was concerned with the buttons/joysticks blocking out most of the characters, especially near the top. I think that as long as a character's head does not get blocked it will look ok. We are going to print a test sheet up on regular paper to test this out.
