I'm planning on building my cp soon and would like to have rotary sticks on there to play games like icari warriors discs of tron etc.
Which would you recommend?

How many choices are there? I thought there was only the happs ones...

If your looking for new, then yeah it looks like the Happs one is it.
If you go used, then there are the SNK LS30s that were used on Ikari warriors, These had an octoganal shaped top. The Data East games suh as Heavey Barrel used a similar stick but the top was more smooth like a cylinder. I had a heavey barrel and these joysticks seemed to be very similar to wicos and used the same centering grommet. There also was a wico rotary stick that had a ball top, very nice.
Remember you will need a rotary interface board for using in Mame.

I have 2 of the Happs Mechanical rotary joysticks. They are interfaced to the PC using the Rotary Interface from Ultimarc. They work great on Ikari and Heavy Barrel.

Do any of you know if the Happ Rotarys mechanical will work with the GGG GP-Wiz40 MAX USB Controls Input Interface with Rotary Support?

I've not used the GGG input with rotary support but I cannot see any reason why it would not work.

I have & enjoy my pair of Happ mechanical rotary sticks. They're nifty.

Whats the current status of the Rotary emulation using Ultimarc interface, last i heard there where some issues with some games not having the 1 Click 1 Turn thing working correctly has this been solved.
My main interest in order is in Midnight Resistance, Ikari Warriors and Heavy Barrel

It looks like it should. As long as your using the mechanical rotary stick, not the optical.
also, I have seen s few reviews on the web that say the happ rotary performs well.
