Post by: danny_galaga on April 24, 2011, 03:46:49 am: The sci fi comedy from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead). They play two sci fi nerds on the holiday of a lifetime, attending an American Comic book convention and then following the American UFO trail. I really enjoyed this, not for any one glaring reason that I can think of. It just came together really well. Seth Rogen as Paul the alien worked really well, and Jason Bateman as the special agent. There are heaps of sci fi references, no doubt many more than I noticed. And some cameos from a couple of sci fi stalwarts.

It's light hearted, but it's entertaining. That's all that matters to me. I don't feel the need to be all

Good laughs and great visual effects.
Kristen Wiig is funny as hell, hope to see her in more movies.

Paul as said had MANY MANY sci fi references and is a must watch from me even if you dont watch sci fi you will still love this movie it's well worth a watch and Jason bateman was a fantastic choice for the role as well over all great casting and very funny

I think it was because she was the only chick in that movie besides sigourney weaver. ;D But yeah, also loved the movie. I wish Michael Beihn would have been in it as planned instead of Jeffrey Tambor, but it was still awesome. I thought Seth Rogan was a poor choice for the alien at first, but it worked out. Great flick. Pegg and Frost rule!
