oh btw even if im not going to need those, i will install them (if its possible) ...if its impossible i will try to find something else!

Those are for undermounting not top mounting..
They basically go into the wood so you can undermount without popping up through the top surface.
-
Top-mounting goes against the entire purpose.

You drill holes on the back of the panel but without going through the wood. Then you wind the threaded parts into the wood using the hex key. This leaves you with a flush top panel with no bolt heads showing and then you can screw the joystick onto the threaded mounts from underneath. When using those threaded mounts the joystick plate always sits against the underneath of the panel... not on the top like you have in your picture.
Undermounting or top mounting is personal choice. Top mounting makes the joystick handle stick up further by the thickness of your wood. Undermounting may make the handle sit too low for your liking.
Your work there looks very neat actually. :applaud: You can still recess the plate underneath but make sure you have enough thickness of wood to wind in the threaded mounts. You will need to fill in recess you have already made with wood putty or simnilar and then sand down. Or alternatively start the panel again with fresh wood.

You have to screw or bolt the plate to the panel in some way. The plate is the only thing attached to the panel. The joystick is attached to the plate.
EDIT: Are you thinking of mounting the stick with only the four countersunk holes close to the main shaft hole? I would advise against this. Those countersunk holes are there just to fix the plate to the black plastic body of the stick. There won't be enough strength to mount the entire unit using just those four holes.
This is a very good website that details things quite well and covers lots of different methods. This particular page is all about joystick mounting etc. but the other pages are also full of great info....
