How far back from the edge of the cabinet do monitors usually sit? Now that I think of it, I was measuring mine flush to the angled edge. All the ones I've seen are back in the cabinet a bit.
Does it depend on what kind of bezel or glass you use?
I'm using a 32" LCD. I'm mounting it at a 70 degree angle. Do any of y'all have a suggestion?

I’m certainly no expert on this, and no way compared to a lot of the guys here, but in my opinion I think it is down to preference. I think monitors tend to sit in a lot of different configurations from cab to cab. If you have a bezel already, that might be a good starting point. I have one of the bezels from happ, and I feel it looks very good right up to it, with the screen nearly touching the bezel.

Yeah with an lcd, its probably more of a preference thing. I personally think it looks better to be mounted a little bit back from the front edge.
With a curved crt and bezel, you have no choice but to keep the monitor back about 3.75" from where the bezel sits so that it lines up ok.

Alright, I think I have a good position for it now.
