Google "Aluminum cupholders"
They're all over the place

or you could swipe a couple at a bowling alley >:D

great idea.
I must of missed this build. Is there a link? Or is that a stock CP?

There are quite a few different sizes on the net, make sure to get ones your control panel can accommodate for both depth & width. I've got a honkin surfboard for a panel so I went with the 2" deep 4" wide ones...you can put a damn champagne bottle in there.
This is the exact auction I purchased from = http://cgi.ebay.com/CUP-HOLDERS-Individual-Jumbo-Stainless-Steel-Poker-/160397647748?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item255871df84#ht_802wt_905 (http://cgi.ebay.com/CUP-HOLDERS-Individual-Jumbo-Stainless-Steel-Poker-/160397647748?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item255871df84#ht_802wt_905)
extendedplayarcade: here is a pretty good link: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=110312.msg1168651#msg1168651 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=110312.msg1168651#msg1168651)

Thanks guys for the replies.

Why is that a great idea? That makes the CP look awful.

Yeah, just awful looking

I know this is the 8,000th time I've posted about it, but the over the window cup holders for cars are about 50 cents a pop and a pair of wire snips converts them to arcade use in 10 seconds.

Big enough cup in there and you could piss while you play, too.

I got cups for my poker table build from Texas Poker Supply. Good people, good stuff.
The same cups that are in the ebay link for 5.65 are currently on sale on their site for 4.50.
Check their site for more options too;

Yeah, early on I decided that cupholders (read: beer can holders) were absolutely essential on my cabinet.
Building them into the control panel is an interesting idea, I suppose, but to me it just seems there are much simpler solutions. I decided to simply hang one beer holder off each side of my cabinet so that the opening is about flush with the control panel surface, and just behind it. Simple install, inexpensive, perfect accessibility (well within arm's reach when sitting on a stool), one for each player, fairly non-intrusive from a visual design standpoint... for my needs it was a complete no-brainer, and I don't care if it makes authenticity snobs cringe.

I prefer the flip down boat type cupholders. The screw right onto the side of your CP and can fold away when you're not using them. As a bonus you can adjust the cup width.

I had those on my old arcade machine, they were perfect on that cabinet!
EDIT: I dont think any of my old arcade went without cup holders, why doesnt everyone have them ;D
