Just played the demo. Love
It
-
The original PC version or the Xbox Arcade download?
-
The xbl version. I am a huge Diablo fan, and I usually hate diablo clones, but this one is done pretty well
-
It is a good Diablo clone because it is made by the Diablo developers. The game is good on PC, but I wonder how it controls on a console.
-
It's actually pretty good! I've had it for a bit now and the control's way simpler for the xbox controller. You do lose the ability to equip a 2nd set of weapons, but it's no big deal to manually equip it from your storage. I'd say it's well worth the $15 pricetag.

It controls really well! The graphics are good, the music is good, it really has a Diablo feel to it. I would definitely recommend it.
The only downside is no multiplayer
-
I might give this a shot...The artwork made me feel that the game was kinda childish, like 5th grade super squad or something. I never paid any attention to it before because of that.
-
I only played it for like 15 mins, but I could see this being a new favorite. The music is good, the levels are designed well. Its like Diablo but not quite as deep

I believe the sequel to Torchlight is supposed to have multiplayer. They're working on it now, but I think they got sidetracked by the XBLA port.
Real fun game, got a bit repetitive later on though. I'm hoping they expand it on the next release. More classes, more abilities, etc... It's a good accessible-Diablo that is less intimidating, I even got the wife to play it for a bit! She wouldn't touch Diablo with a 10-foot-pole...

Anyone tried it on the Mac via Steam? I keep thinking about it... (Don't have an XB...)

Here's the trailer...

PC version due out in July... waiting to hear if there'll be a Xbox port.

Has anyone got the "Town Portal" or "Identify" spells to drop? Not the regular scrolls but the learnable spells?
*Edit* -- I'm referring to the Xbox version....
-
Has anyone tried Torchlight on a "netbook"? I ask because TLII's multi-player is just tempting enough to play with my wife but we're down to one full sized PC and I'm wondering how it would look or even if it would display @ 1024x600. Obviously how the first game works doesn't guarantee the second one will but it should be a good indicator right?
