Control Panel -> Accessibility Options...
Uncheck all the "Use XXX" boxes here...
Go into the Settings (buttons) and uncheck "Use Short Cut" for each category.

i had same issue yesterday - a windows popup message in middle of playing a game about enabling stickykeys because shift key had been pressed 5 times in a row. it was then necessary to reboot.

tried going to Control Panel > Accessibility Options to disable it - but the icon wasn't in control panel !

not sure whats up - i'm using Win XP Pro.

any ideas? how to get to Control Panel > Accessibility Options or get it displayed?

is there another way to disable stickykeys? a setting in the registry?
