Title: Retro Console Gaming
Post by: Termin8tor on April 01, 2011, 04:41:58 pm
Hi all, since building my first cab way back in September 2010 (seems like only yesterday) I've gotten into retro console gaming. I started off buying original controllers to play N64 games on my cab but it just didn't feel right so through eBay I've built up quite a collection of consoles I owned in my youth SNES, N64, PS1 and through that discovered gamecube and PS2 not consoles I owned but really enjoy playing now. If anyone can recommend a decent forum for retro gaming that would be great but would also like to hear what were your favourite console games.

Well you could start with BYOAC's very own consoles section: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,15.0.html (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,15.0.html)

I am also a member at Nintendoage.

I also enjoy collecting consoles...only missing about 4 US released consoles and then I will have them all.

How do you not have an NES.  That's quintessential in my opinion.  :D

Anyway, a site I enjoy for classic consoles is http://www.racketboy.com/. (http://www.racketboy.com/.)  They have a forum, but also some interesting articles.

The Turbografx 16 is worth checking out. I had one shortly after they were released here in the US. Sounds were especially good on that.
