Title: Modifying Robotron Art
Post by: Hiub1 on March 29, 2011, 03:46:54 pm
Hi guys. I'm modifying original Robotron art to fit my SAR cabinet that's being restored and MAMEd. The white lines are where controls will go, but won't be printed on the final CPO. Also, the middle crosshairs will house a 2.25'' trackball, which is a bit hard to see.

What do you think? You'll have to look closely to see the differences ;)

Here's my initial take at the marquee. It's very similar to the original one for now, so I'm thinking I might change it up a bit more:

I know the colors look different between the CPO and marquee, I suspect that they are different originally because of the backlit nature of the marquee. I'll do some more research about that, but any insight is welcome.

Also, I am looking to get these printed at Game on Grafix. Any experience with them?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Hello, I just found this post in a search. Did you modify the artwork any more or get it printed even? I'm doing a similar project and also need to modify Robotron artwork, it would be good to hear more about your experiences with doing this as I haven't done anything like this. Which program did you use to modify it?
