Do people typically run continuous t-molding on the sides of the cabinet completely under the CP?
Also what about the ends of the CP? I see some people make their CP box similar to the cab box, that is to say, the side pieces overlap and have T-Molding on the edges. This is nice because it eliminates a harsh edge/corner that you might bust your knee on, but I am unsure if this typcal.
Your thoughts?

The area where the cp is placed does not need t molding. T molding where you are fastening the CP will probably just get in the way. The outside edges of the cp however are usually banded with t molding.

I think I might have to use t molding on this area anyway because my cab won't fit through a doorway with the CP installed. I need to be able to remove it.

If you just need to remove the CP when you move, there isn't a need for T-molding. I am just going to cover up exposed edges when everything is installed. Also, t-molding will interfere when putting the CP in place and will probably be more of a hassle than what its worth.

Yea, I dont' think it would look good either to see the color there when you view the cab from the side. My dilemma is I am unsure how fragile the edge is going to be. I plan on laminating 5/8" particleboard with Wilsonart laminate. I mean is that stuff easy to chip putting the CP on and off over the long term? Perhaps I can protect that edge with a piece of felt strip so the CP is sitting cozy?
I plan on using 4 latch clamps to secure the CP from underneath. I read about the velcro method but prefer to not go this route.

Haven't built my CP yet, so take this with a grain of salt.
I am going to build the pedestal by itself with 3/4" MDF. I am going to put a single panel of MDF on the top of it. Then the CP will go on top as its own contained box. I will drill 4 holes between them and attach carriage bolts as an easy(ish) connect/disconnect.

He has photos of the pedestal by itself then shows the CP box with the carriage bolts attached. I think you're doing an upright cabinet, but the theory should still work.
Are you planning on moving this thing through doorways a lot?

I was thinking of doing my lamination work prior to assembly of the pieces, so I didn't think about adding a piece of wood there. That's great. This will further be strenthened by the face plate below the CP.
I will probably just laminate the interior part, or just the internal edge where the reveal will be. I don't plan on moving this a lot, but I would like options if I NEED to get it moved somewhere.
