Chihiro games running in MAME... Good god, I wish. Maybe in 2021.

There are PC versions that are pretty cheap now. Any reason why you couldn't just set these up with a front end? (I just got my Aimtrak set up, so I'm thinking of doing this myself.)

Did 4 ever make it anywhere besides the arcade? I got to play it once in Mertle Beach 2 years ago, it was awesome!

You could get the pc versions, but they are garbage from what I hear; not FE friendly and you can't turn crosshairs off
-
Pc versions of HOD 2 & 3 work perfectly thru FE. I've had them set up for years with Mamewah. Using 2 ActLabs guns and Troubleshooter.
-
I have HOTD2 running with Demul (Naomi) and it works great EXCEPT it only works with one player. I really hope this gets fixed soon as I'm salivating for some multiplayer HOTD2

Original ones do. I bought the repackaged "Xplosiv Software" versions. They have another menu added by Xplosive that you cannot bypass.
It makes integration into a front end a pain. Also couldn't turn off the crosshairs.
There is another repackaged version by "Sold Out Software". I'm not sure about that one.
Find the original ones if you can.

who makes the original ones?

who makes the original ones?
Companies like the ones I mentioned just buy up the rights to older popular games, repackage them and sell them cheap.
Judging from a quick search, it looks like the original was released by Sega/Activision.
Is that the version people have that works ok with FEs?

HotD 3 pc version or?? If it was a torrent say no more but if it was something else, where did you DL it from?
By the way, I see there is a HotD 4 machine on eBay right now, $4K  I wish I had the extra money.

I've posted a sort of long tech demo video of my arcade cabinet. It has dual lightguns and HOTD2 and 3 (PC Versions) running cleanly through MaLa frontend. Around the middle of the video I actually explain how to get the HOTD games to run Dual light guns and even how to run the hack through your FE seemlessly. Its long and I'm very "talky" in it, but might be worth a view:

There's a short version of the Tech Demo at this link but it doesn't have the Dual Lightgun explanation.
