Title: new general issue: screen change when loading game with fullscreen image

When using the regular 'start' box with non-MAME emulators, there is a seamless transition from FE to game.

However, when using the 'use fullscreen image' feature, the image shows for a second, and then it goes back to the FE image until the game starts.
