I have a Intervideo/Videocolor monitor (Ref: Dual Frequency Philips A66EAK552X11) and I had been using a JPAC for a while now with soft 15KHz and quickres without any problems. Jumper on 15KHz and 35KHz.
A month or two ago whenever I turned the cab (1 out 5 times perhaps) the image would be out of sync and I had to regulate the h-sync. It was annoying but I lived with it.
Now whenever I turn it on the image is out of sync and I can't get it right! The only significant change I made was connect the remaining 6 buttons I had in my CP to the JPAC screw connectors. I already tried to disconnect them but I can't get the monitor to work.

Philips A66EAK552X1
this is not a model number...you need to identify the manufacturer of the electronics (called a chassis) for the monitor not the tube.
likely there is a capacitor on the board that is starting to get weak. even a small change can cause horizontal issues.
also the horizontal hold pot (looks like it's labeled "h-sync" on your chassis) might be getting worn out. some of those dials are only rated for 200 cycles (moves) before they are out of specification.

Thanks for the input. I know that it isn't the model number but I can't find it. I know that's not on the tube but on the circuit board but I can't find it...
So, what can I do? How do I know which capacitor is bad? ???

without knowing which chassis it is, there is no way of knowing. perhaps you can take a few photos of it. some of us have seen enough of them to know by sight what they are.

Here's two photos, one of the sticker where it should be the model nr. and the chassis. Thanks again!

that's an odd one... ill do some digging and see what i can find out for you.
this monitor is quite common in Europe and Spain... not really common in north america or china... take a look through this and see if it matches your monitor...

The first link is a scan of the manual that came with the cab. However none of those versions match the monitor. The only thing in common is the serial A66EAK552X11 which is similar with A66ECY13X01 but that's it.
The second manual/link is a lot closer (the schematics) to the one I have but alas they seem to be referring to the same monitors.

"A66ECY13X01" looks like a tube type number. Looks like they bought a bunch of tubes and then had a common chassis slightly modified to work with each one. Kind of a "universal" chassis if you will.

What can I do then? A noob can fix this? ???
