Nice, i remember there were some good games at Auckland Intl' airport, best one of course was a sit down cab of Star Wars Arcade.
I remember in late 80s/early 90s when the TMNT arcade game came out, at the local burger bar, the game was so popular, on the other end of town a chinese takeaways had WWF Superstars & Aliens. Good times!
When I lived in Tauranga, I recall the local Wizards Arcade that was on devenport road closed in 94 or 95 iirc.
They had some really good games, Chase H.Q, WWF Wrestlemania, Sega G-lock, Super hang-on, Space Ace etc.
Thx for sharing, great pics!

when i was very young maybe 6- 12, we had 2 quite decent arcades, in a city of 60,000 at the time (in palmerston north) and then another one which was pretty crappy, but thats gone..
only thing we have now is a burger king with a couple drivers/air hockey. :(

I've never seen a burger king with any arcades in the USA (at least in California).
The only places we have arcades now is in bars that are trying to be trendy, especially the hipster bars in San Francisco.

They partner with 'time out' and have rooms kinda to the side. all up and down nz.
