Hi everyone, I just got approved to this site last week. I must say I have learned quite a lot the last few weeks about the video game industry, so much that I want to build a cabinet so bad I can't stand it. I had it lined up to get a Dragons lair/Space ace cabinet..Need it work bad, but I think it fell through, have not heard back from the guy. I was really wanting to redo that sucker. Anyway, does anyone know where I can find a good set of plans for a DL/SA cabinet? I looked all over the sites, and found a few places, Jakobud, but someone said they are not accurate, too bad lot of great ideas there. Then there was a site-Can't think of the name i know it has 0catch in the URL, but it seems to be out of business when I try to buy. Lastly there was this site in Michigan that sold templates, but I read some bad stuff about it too.. So where do I go?
Thanks for help here any future advice that you Pros can give this new-by rookie. ;D

Jakobud would have been my go-to for cabinet plans, but if you say they're reported as inaccurate...
Maybe you'd be best finding someone with a cab, and taking your own measurements?

Jake's plans are not 100% accurate, but may well be good enough unless you need 100% accuracy (say, if you are buying the reproduction artwork).

Hi and welcome to the forums,
Just another possible idea for creating a cabinet. you can download google sketchup and download some cabinet models from 3dwarehouse.
They are not dead-on plans but you can get some basic dimensions and ideas of how things go together. Its also great for kind of seeing how ideas will look.
heres a link to one of the models made by Gozer. If you use the dimensions tool in sketchup, you'll see they are very close.

Anyone have plans for generic pedestal cabinets? That is what I am interesting in building, and hopefully starting this weekend.

Hey all Thanks for all the great responses, I actually acquired a Space Ace cabinet last week, now beginning a restoration project on it. Its gonna be tedious but I think I will learn a lot about the restoration process.
Hey Raitsa, thanks I joined there but still waiting to get my approval.

North Coast Customs (formerly Mameroom) also has Pedestal and CP plans you can buy. http://mameroom.com/Products_kits.asp (http://mameroom.com/Products_kits.asp)
