Title: Dual Aimtrak Setup Problem

I am having trouble setting up dual aimtraks on my machine.  I have done a pretty thorough search to find an answer to my problem but am not having a lot of luck. 

Both my guns are being seen as gun 1 in mame.  The sensor view of the configuration software detects each gun like it should (I see the red dot moving for only the selected gun).  However in mame it reports both guns as gun 1 when I try to configure the x and y axis for player 1 and player 2.  I have set one gun to device 1 and 1 gun to device 2.  I have my mame.ini set to joystick 1, lightgun 1, offscreen reload 1, dual_lightgun 1.  I also changed lightgun to mouse.  I am running mame 141u2 and aimtrak firmware 1.6.  Thank you.

Nevermind.  Set dual lightgun option in mame ini to 0 and works now.

How timely.. I was getting ready to post the same question with the same issue.

Odd that you set dual lightguns to 0 and it works. I'll have to try this on my setup.

I'm not sure how my setup must be different from yours.

When I set lightgun = mouse and dual_lightguns 0, then my device 1 aimtrack shows up as Gun 2 in mame and tracks on the screen as expected. My device 2 is totally unresponsive. I can't even set buttons with it.

When I set dual_lightguns 1, my device 1 shows up as gun 1 in mame and works as expected, and gun 2 remains unresponsive.

Previously I had the issue as you with Device 2 showing up as Gun 1 at the same time as Device 1 showing up as Gun 1.

Still no fix :(

Do the guns track correctly using the aimtrak configuration software?  If you're in the sensor view you should only see the gun track for the specified gun.  Make sure you have each gun set to a different ID.

My guns show up as gun 4 and gun 5 in mame because i also have a trackball, spinner, and a mouse connected.  It sounds like your second gun is not working.

what version of mame are you running?

I am running .141u2
Both guns track correctly within the Aimtrack software. one is set as device 1, the other as device 2.

Unplugged the non-working gun, plugged it back in, and it works now. Yay!
Tried to configure the defaults in mame and now the buttons are not responding on the first gun, not even in windows.  :banghead:

seriously. wtf.
