wanted to gauge if there is some (US) interest for reproduction (Atari) serial plate stickers.
My friend Etienne has started vectorizing some Irish Atari serial stickers, and took up some others as well. (Zaccaria).
We are looking into having these professionally printed and cut (so you get round corners where needed.
I know there are various types of (Atari) serial labels. One looks very much like the Irish one, but those too are different throughout the years.
We can mix the printing so these can more or less be made "on order".
The material we will be printing on is the stuff that is silvery looking (when you remove them you can see even the back is silvery looking.

If you are interested we will need preferably SCANS of the stickers, or very good straight up pictures.
Also, we will need some exact sizes in METRIC please because we don't want any confusion in conversion.
As mentioned, we just want to see if and how much interest there may be. We very likely will print some anyway.
Expect the price to be below the 10 bucks each. We are not looking for any profit here. The more interest, the lower the price.

Awesome. I just posted in the B&S about a month or so ago asking whether there were any repros out there for my Asteroid resto.
I'd be interested in one.
I'll have to lug my flatbed scanner to work sometime (where the cabinet is currently) soon to give you guys a scan of it.

Is it a wise thing to do? What's to stop some unscrupulous ---tallywhacker--- from ordering a sticker with serial number whatever then selling it on eBay as the "very cab that appeared in movie xxx" or "the very first cab off the assembly line" or whatever? I personally don't buy cabs based on the serial number alone but I have encountered people who would. I'm also aware of at least one website that tracks known cabs of a specific game and their serials, those people might not be overly thrilled to find reproductions serials of their cabs. I dunno, I might be wrong.
That out of the way, does it need to be serial plates? My Hang-On has a silver sticker on the overlay but the overlay is cooked. It sounds about the same material. Can't tell unless I remove the sticker, thereby ruining it.
Will you accept custom designs?
Is it a one time deal? Get in now or forever hold your peace?

If you'll let me shoe-horn the Hang-On sticker in there, how do you want it scanned?

PM-ed you guys where to send the scans.
Custom is fine, as long as you provide the files AND the exact measurements.
Is it wise ? Yes.
I'm not that worried about that happening, and even so, I don't have the illusion we could stop it. It's also up to the buyer to judge it if he finds this important or not AND if it's real or not.
The serial stickers can be repro-ed by about anyone. This community is small enough to keep the bad ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- outside (and we won't be doing hundreds of them.
It is more or less a one time deal. The reason is that the more we get in now, the cheaper it gets for us all.

I registered, but I need to be approved. Guess I have to wait until the sun rises. :\
I scanned the sticker but it came out blurry. After heehawing it for a bit, I realized that the I wasn't going to use the acrylic because of the damage, the whole point of me getting the sticker done. So I snapped it off (almost screwed it up doh!) and scanned it again. Don't particularly like destroying something but alas, I must live with it. The scan came out much better so I'll be emailing it in along with a partial that I hope someone can find a replacement for. I'm including it here in the hopes someone here has one.
It looks like the FCC sticker. For some reason, the sticker was never removed from the paper backing and it was just slapped on with staples. Kind of weird of them to do that. In any case, it's been torn and this is all that I have left.
