Post by: cadaverc on March 03, 2011, 12:42:41 am
so my problem is when i start up my mame cab that has your norm in it with a hantarex polo 25 monitor in it with a J-pac and a arcadeVGA3000 the monitor has a fast bounce up and down ....more to it when i have it on the desktop.    sorry if i didn't give enough info if you need more ill try and give, im getting a capkit soon maybe that will do the trick.

What resolution are you running at? I am in the process of setting up a MAME cab and 640*480 will cause flicker and a jumpy appearance. You need a lower res to steady things out.

I'll try that again, I think the last time I did that the screen went crazy and had a hard time trying to get it back

I just went thru this....its not the monitor. Try running at 321x240 via quickres. Hint: make sure all your settings are where they need to be before changing the resolution. Direct draw and switch resolutions to fit must be checked. Then....you'll need a frontend/layout that will display right at that res. I used one for MaLa called "stormrider". http://www.alvarezeninternet.com/malalayout/ (http://www.alvarezeninternet.com/malalayout/)

I'm not super crazy about how it looks, but it serves the purpose.
