Title: Wico sale
Post by: SirPoonga on August 23, 2003, 06:28:58 pm
The flyer isn't on their website yet.  It's the Besy Buy Sale until October 31st.

I just wanted to note to people horizontal buttons for $0.89/ea.
3" trackball for $43.99 part no 22-2197
Button plugs $0.55 part no. 22-1039
Eurostyle 8-way Joystick $7.99  part no 22-1076
And some decent prices on monitors.
$18.99 for a 104watt arcade power supply, many of you wil extra powered stuff could use that, witht eh Bits Smart Strip could be very handy.

I know Wico has a minimum order of $25.

Other than the shape of the handle, they are identical to the Happ Competitions.

Thanks for the info!

I better get all by controls within the next couple of months then -- at least I have until Halloween.

Here's some info about that one.  It is the same joystick as the Suzo 500.

Quick question... does Wico ship internationally? And how good are their shipping prices normally?

There's a minimum order of 25 buttons to get the .89 price, IIRC.

How come Wico only seems to update it's website once in a blue moon?

It wouldn't hurt to update the Specials flyer now and then, or to
update the pricelist; everytime I've called them they apologise for
the prices on the site which are a couple of years out of date by now.

How did you find out about the current sale?

How does the Wico 3" trackball compare to Happs?

It works :)  I had one, it was pretty mice.  For some reason it rejectted my mouse hack and my happs didn;t.  But it was odd as kelsey (oscarcontrols) helped me figure it out.  I even sent him my tball to try with his spinner mouse hack.  It didn't work.  He said he hasn't had any problems with other wicos.  I just got unlucky I suppose.

How does the Wico 3" trackball compare to Happs?

I have both, and talked some about the differences in this forum before.  Try searching "trackball wico" with oldest days set to, oh, 250.

In a nut shell, I like both the wico and the happs, but I like happs a smidgin more.  The happs rolls longer and feels lighter, but is louder (and costs a lot more).  However, both are good arcade quality TBs I'm glad to have.
