Title: Are arcade expos good places to buy?
Post by: bhays on February 28, 2011, 08:51:44 pm
I am in the process of deciding whether to build a mame cabinet from scratch or purchase someone else's project as a starting point.  I noticed there is an arcade expo in Louisville, KY (which is only about 40 minutes from me) this weekend.  I planned to go check it out for educational purposes and hopefully buy some stuff.

Are these types of events a good place to find a cabinet, or are prices inflated?  What has everyone's experience been?

It looks like a cool event. It all depends on whats for sale when you get there.
It couldn't hurt to go and look, hey maybe you'll find a good buy.
I wish they'd have these kinda things around here but Connecticut is kinda lame

The machines in good condition will be way overpriced, the good priced machines will be in terrible condition.  So it is up to you with what you want to spend.
