I found a nice (& according to the owner: working) Terminator 2 cabinet just a few miles from my home. The owner is asking about $450 for it. Is that a good deal for this cabinet?
-
I paid 500 for mine but it was real nice. I would say 3-500 is a fair price if its 100%.

Remember, you can always haggle down a bit too.

Just make sure you check the guns to make sure they aim right. Those parts are hard to get. The cabinet may look great, but if the aiming is off it useless. Especially on the last level where it's critical in order to win.

I am in The Netherlands, so everything in the USA is too far for me ;D
But the T2 cab I found is 2 miles from me! :)

I decided to wait a while and the price is down to $350 right now. I guess I'll go take a look next week ;D

+1
Pop the control open if you have to.... Check the side to side/forward and back play on the pivot bushings for the guns. If they are worn the gears for the potentiometers will jump teeth and throw your calibration off immediately. If you rock the gun back and forth you can watch the gears separate.
Fixable with a new set of bushings, just gotta find some or have them made and tear the guns almost completely down to replace.
Just a heads up.

Went there and bought the thing, payed 300 Euro's for it! :applaud:
We played a 2 player game so I could check out both guns for correct working and I enjoyed myself tremendously ;D
Just one small question: the cabinet was originally sold in Germany and has some lines on the screen in German, some in English. Is there a way to switch the on-screen language to all English?

There are dip switch settings to change the language, coinage, and various other things....it's all in the manual.

Thanks a lot! The manual wasn't with the cab, so this is a very welcome addition!! :applaud:

Manual helped me a lot, but the German language seems to be imprinted in the game ROM or something. I changed the dip switches, but I can't seem to lose the German text on screen ;D Well, the game is big fun anyway 8)
