I just recently upgraded Mala, from 1.05 to 1.73.
I have 'hide all games list' checked. When I enter 'MAME' from another emulator, it defaults to the all games list, and then I can't select by joystick movement (left-right) my other MAME gamelists.
I recall this behavior *not* happening in 1.05, but just checked, and at the very least, it is happening now.

When I enter 'MAME' from another emulator
What do you mean by this? MAME is an emulator.

Looking at this too

Mala by default starts at MAME. I have several emulators. When in another one, I enter the emulator list, and select MAME..... You see?

yup
I can recreate this error
LATER
Well I was, Now I can't work out how I did it?
Sorry, Can you tell me the exact steps you took to get it in this state?
Also, Are you using mouse or USB Joystick to change EMU? Are you using the righ mouse click and selct to change emu or the menu to change emu? I guess what I am asking is . What exact method do you use to change emu which results in the Mame 'All Games' being displayed? Keyboard, Ipac-Joystick, USB Joy, Right click and select or menu?

I have '6' mapped for the emu list. I press that, use the left digital stick to scroll to the desired emulator, then press '1' to select. Same process when I go back to MAME.
However, from MAME, right-clicking the mouse and selecting another emulator, and that again and selecting MAME gives the same result.
In essence, regardless of method, selecting MAME from any other emulator gives this result.

Hmm This still is not happening for me.... ???
Are you using MaLa Tree mode?
Perhaps you could post your mala.ini file

I don't know. In Mala options, 'use tree' is not checked.
Attached is my ini.

Thanks for the file. I will run MaLa with those options
