Title: Design for star wars yoke box mount
Post by: codenamed on February 24, 2011, 07:47:30 pm
On impulse I bought a yoke for my mame cab ;-). Looking for ideas on how to mount it to a flat panel at the correct angle.

I have a yoke and I found myself in a similar position.  From reviewing the stand-up cab and the sit-down enclosure, it appears that they are at different angles.

This may give you a close approximation:

I came up with a slide-on mount for my temporary CP.  Its nice because there are no screws and it just slides into place.  I need to add a mechanism to keep it from sliding out, but so far that hasn't been an issue.  I could have made the part that covers the yoke nicer and cleaner, but I was impatient and figured its from star wars so it should look fairly industrial.
