Hello
so I installed my ultrasticks, it was working. I tested the first one, no problem... then I installed the second one, close the cab and now nothing works
when I have one plugged in it's detected by ultramap but nothing works, and when the second one is plugged in (with the other one still in it) I got an error message and the program crashes...
I disconnected the harness so just the ultrastick is plugged but it doesnt' work!!!
can you help me???
-
Did you address both sticks properly?
-
I don't know, how do I do that??? (sorry it's my first cab)
Here I plugged the right joystick, it works perfectly, also the buttons.
but when I plug the left stick I got
"runtime error 457
this key is already associated with an element of this collection"

You MUST do this first when using more than one U360.
From Ultimarc:
Using more than one UltraStik 360.
Up to 4 UltraStik 360s can be used on one PC. If you are using more than one UltraStik via USB, you MUST do the following before connecting player 2,3 or 4 joysticks.
Assigning an ID:
When the joysticks are supplied, all are set to an ID of ONE. You must change as required so IDs in use are unique. This is how to do it:
Plug ONE UltraStik 360 into the PC via USB.
Start the UltraMap software.
Click on "Assign ID" Select the required ID, 2, 3 or 4.
Unplug and reconnect the USB cable.
Repeat with each joystick as required.
After each one has been assigned with a unique ID, all can be connected to USB.

Yup, ya gotta do that ^^^^^^^
-
okay, thanks, now when both are plugged in there's no error message
they are detected BUT
now none of them works, when I move any of the sticks, nothing works...
-
do they appear independently in the ultramap software? When you say they dont work, do you mean in game, or in the ultramap software? If you are using the ultramap software, how are the sticks assigned?
-
One is on Id1 and the other on Id2
on ultramap or in mame nothing happens when I move the sticks
-
are the wire harnesses disconnected for the buttons (just to simplify matters)? Have you selected a map for each stick, and applied the setting by pressing the button?
-
yes the harness is disconnected
and ---goshdarn--- it, I didn't click the yellow-ish button!!!
they both work thank you!!!
I love you man!!! (hem, in the most hetersexual way  )
-
Glad they're working!
-
So am I ;D
Now I tested with the harness, couple of button that don't work, gonna re-do their wiring
-
done, everything works now, thanks to all of you :notworthy:
-
I love you too man! I am all too familiar with that feeling of desperation when you REALLLLLLY want to get something working, it clouds your vision from seeing the obvious with what might be wrong. Enjoy!

here's a pic of my cab so far, I'm working on the marquee and sideart now.
All of the rest works perfectly ^^
