Title: FA Broken xbox with 35 games (NYC)

DVD drive does not eject, menus work fine. Not sure if it plays games or not.

Have you tried pushing the eject button then tapping on the front of the DVD tray?  I have to do this on one of my XBOXes when there's no disc in the drive.

Yeah - fiddled with it a bit. Still will not eject.

the rubber band on the motor is stretched.

or the motor is worn.

or your looking ring in the lid top is sticking.

the motor's and band can be pulled from any most other drive's like an old pc drive etc. there is nothing to them when it comes to repair really.

I appreciate the tips, but I already decided not to try and fix. I just have too much going on, and don't have the time.

I figured it's repairable - hopefully it'll draw a decent price on ebay. Not too much interest in it so far.
