Title: Dragon King.... ha?
Post by: Gromet on August 22, 2003, 04:51:46 pm
Set up dragon king... when I launch it, it plays my into video... but than I just get a black screen.  If I push TAB, the Config screen comes up, but I don't see any other screens?

I am running at 640x480 on an arcadeVGA card, with a D9200 monitor, on win XP.

Thanks

Try upping your Windows color settings to 32bit. Chances are you've got it at 16bit right now. Your problem sounds similar to one I've had before. Still haven't perfected it, but I'm getting there.

I'm likely just gonna use the Emulaxian wheel, anyways.

uses arcadvga not that radeon chipset that could not be run in hardware mode? try setting dragon king to use software rendering it's an option in the cfg file.

That's right. The ArcadeVGA uses the Radeon 7000 platform so it would be the only Radeon chip that requires software rendering.

Yup radeon 7000 series isn't fully dx7 compatable and I use many calls that were first introduced in dx7.  Have to use software mode.

Of course, if you had read the faq it would have told you that's the first thing you should try.  ;)
