I am looking for a list of Mame driving games as well as a game list of those which use a yoke assembly.
Will someone please send me a link to a list or point me in the right direction.....thanks

people ahve made these lists before. I wish the admins would save them and post links to these different lists somewhere... might save a lot of people some valuable time..

Why do you need a list? (just curious)

I would like the marquee I use for my driving cabinet to be made of a collage of various driving and yoke game marquee images.
I have some titles which I know from growing up and found their associated marquee images, but I need others titles which are supported by Mame and whose marquee images I can find (which are in a decent shape).
I already looked in www.mame.dk and found the top 25 driving games but I need other. A lot of the times I can not find useable marquee images from the games to use for making my marquee.

what frontend do you use? Does it support catver.ini?
-
Mame32 right now.....never heard of catver.ini

I think mame32 uses catver.ini. http://www.mameworld.net/catlist

Thanks I will try and work backwards from the Rom name

If your using MAME32 then just click on genre on the left and then driving 1, driving 2 or driving 3 and you will have your list.

Just for the record, imo these marquees made out of several pieces of mame artwork always tun out completely awful. Perhaps you should think of another idea.

Actually I used this same approach for my standup Mame cabinet. Check it out below (although the picture does not do it justice). I think it looks great. It is filled with marquees of the games my friends and I played growing up. I believe the key to making these things look half way decent is to select nice looking marquees (or at least touch them up, lighten the shading, crop the picture, etc....)
Anyway, for my driving cab, I am using driving/yoke type games with the same concept. Possibly a "Mom's arcade" this time though ;D

As always, artwork is 100% within the realm of opinion--NOT fact--I think they look pretty good--not my thing mind you, but certainly not ugly.
