Title: Control panel button layout question
Post by: ofConstant333 on February 16, 2011, 03:36:28 pm
Quick question... I'm building my first cab and am about to start cutting holes for my control panel.  I've decided to go with a very minimal layout: 2 sticks, Player 1 and 2 Start, 3" Trackball, and 6 user buttons per side.  At least that had been the plan.

Looking at pics of other controls panels, it seems many go with 7 buttons per side, with 3 across the top and four on the bottom.

My question is why four on the bottom?  NeoGeo?

Thanks

Yep, you're right on.  The bottom four are mapped for NeoGeo games.  It's a preference thing so do what's best for you and the games you play.
