I am putting together a golden tee complete green board. I have it hooked up to a 37"LCD (Jamma to converter to LCD via VGA cable) and I am getting a picture, but the screen is jumpy. My video is coming from the jamma cable and I have it going through a converter because I was unsure how else to hook it up. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix the jumping? If more information is needed please let me know and I'll post it. Thanks in advance for your replies. I've been waiting so long to get this thing up and running! BT

Does your video converter accept both standard and medium resolution? Default for GT is medium. Have you tried switching it to standard resolution to see if that helps? It sounds like its out of sync if you can see an image but its jumping or improperly sized.
You change GT's resolution settings via the set of jumpers near the blinking green LED (not the ones near the JAMMA connector).
Dip switch 1 in that bank controls resolution. Off is medium res (the default setting) and on is standard res.
Dip switch 2 is low resolution adjustment... if the image still doesn't sync, try switching that to off.
Switch 3 and 4 are always on regardless of resolution settings.

When I turn the machine on it says voltage high during bootup. Is this something to be concerned about? Can I adjust the voltage and how should I do it?
Also, I hooked up a car small car speaker I had laying around. It sounds good, but how can I adjust the volume?

High Voltage Detected on the POST screen means you need to adjust your +5V from your supply. Volume control on these games is done through the settings menu.

I'm running my GT on a standard res arcade monitor, but supposedly it looks a bit better at medium res. If your video converter will accept a 25khz input, you may be able to improve the image quality. When I was setting my machine up, I had a test setup similar to what you're using. I have the Y+/Yaton converter purchased from ebay and could never get a stable medium resolution image with it.

I was adjusting the voltage the wrong way, but after doublechecking I got it to say the level is ok. Thanks again for the help/replies! BT

One more issue... After I play for a few minutes the picture seems to blur a little and the colors aren't as vivid as when I first turned it on.. The colors kind of bleed into each other. Can someone offer any suggestions as to how I might fix this. I don't think it's the picture settings because the game starts out with a good picture. Thanks! BT
