Title: CPS Green A Board to test cab?

Hello all,
  Im going to inspect a cab for purchase but all I have is a green cps a board without a game.
Will the unit still boot with just the a board? Perhaps s test screen or Rom missing message? Anything to be able to tell if the monitor is at least functional?
