Hi guys I preordered my self a 3ds and I'm wandering what launch WEEK game i should buy for it. Im already getting new super mario bros ds, mario kart ds and maybe mario vs donkey kong minland mayhem. (I never owned a ds so there new to me)
Im thinking ridge racer 3d might be the one to go for. It reminds me of the early ridge racer games and i heard a person who played it at e3 talking about how cool it was to play a rr game were you can see all around the car in 3d while racing with gives you a really cool edge.
Theese are the launch week games im looking at:

Um... I'd like to buy a vowel Pat?
The 3ds launch titles are pretty darn weak. I don't think sf4 can be played properly with the ds button layout and ridge racer is a terrible racing series imho. The fact that rabbids is a platformer is a good thing, but ubisoft has had a poor track record with portable platformers (take a look at any of the ds versions of POP or ect....).
I'm usually first in line to get a new nintendo system, but this one was intentionaly released early to boost quarter sales and thus it really isn't ready for release yet in terms of software. I'll be getting mine in the fall.
Since you haven't played any DS games it might be worth it to wait on the 3ds titles a few weeks to see how the reviews turn out. Afterall, you'll have plenty to play in the mean-time.

Thanks Howard, I agree there releasing it early to boost sales. I'm not crazy about how some features will be late and require a firmware update.
The release titles do look week for the first few months but I'm looking forward to some of the down the road stuff like Mario kart 3d , paper Mario and asphalt 3D. I also read that shigeru miyamoto is working on a new side scrolling Mario which is aw some for me, those are what i grew up on.
I have never bought a launch system befor, I always had to wait awhile. I was going to just go with a dsi xl Mario bundle but then i thought i might as well just go with the 3 ds instead of a system that's close to being on its last legs. I will defiantly rack-up some playtime on those ds titles. I bought one called little red riding hoods zombie bbq , I cant wait to try that. It looks like some great old school scrolling shooter fun with a twist.

Give us a 3-D SNES version of Star Fox! The last time I fell in love with a Nintendo system was with the N-64.

Having actually experienced playing on a lot of the 3DS games, I would say that Street Fighter is bloody brilliant and works really well - that's what I'm getting on launch day.
