Anyone know if NFL Blitz is emulated?

I have the pc version installed in my cabs.
A place called purplus.com has it for like $5.
One setback - I could not get it to re-map the keys to the standard MAME/IPAC layout so I ended up remapping my controls around Blitz.
Re-mapping helped a lot with ZINC, too so it's OK.

Yeah, why get emulated when it can run natively.  And hte PC version is essentially the the arcade version, doesn't have support for a n64 card but oh well.

Aaron Giles has a WIP driver for it.   You will need a very, very fast CPU as its main CPU to be emulated is a 150MHZ R7000.

Aaron Claims about 4-5GHZ minimum for the Dynarec core, or 7GHZ without the dynarec core :-(.

See www.aarongiles.com for a WIP screenshot.

Modified 3DFX I believe, can't port it to use PC 3DFX driver directly I believe.

If I remember right you need to go in and modify the controls.  In order to do that you have to us the default keyboard controls to navigate in and customize them.

OK,  I got my manual out.  The default controls are on page 4 of the little jewel case manual.  Using those controls go into arcade, then options, then system options, then controllers.  Page 10 in the manual tells how to actually change them.

Warning - I could not get the game to let me map any controls to the CTRL key.  Like I said above, I ended up re-mapping my IPAC around keys I was able to get Blitz to use, keeping it as close to the MAME default as possible.

I had a rough night working last night.  I didn't even turn on my PC (a real rarity).
Sorry about that.  At any rate, I just scanned the instructions in.
