Title: What state/country is most BYOAC members from?
Post by: garnerb350 on February 03, 2011, 02:04:42 pm: Where I am from, there isnt much people interested in MAME, BYOAC, etc...would be nice to know where everybody is from...Sure do wish i had somebody to talk "shop" with... :dunno

I was trying to get a 4 Player D&D cab down my stairs and asked some friends for some help moving "something heavy". When they got there to help they said "Why in the world are you wasting your time moving this down there...just throw it in the garage or something."

But even with my game console collecting, most of the people that I know either think it's silly because of how old the games are, or they say stuff like "Why not just use an emulator instead?" LOL

Ive learned alot here over the years being a member of BYOAC and im learning more and more each day... I had a couple of buddies catch the bug... but they dont want the hassle of learning the "hobby"...when they ask me for advice, i give them the best i know, but im still a noob...or either im too busy dealing with other things outside the hobby...(wife, kids, work, etc)

Just being funny, but perhaps simply 'Europe' would be a more inclusive choice of words.

If there is any pattern I can discern from our customers, it seems like the only real area, from the places we ship to, that seems to be underrepresented is what you might call the "deep south". We get a good mix from just about everywhere else in the states and in Europe. I would guess that most of them know about and frequent BYOAC, even if they never post.

Yep, me too. I live in Putnam, NY (about 1 hour from the city). I'm close to Danbury, CT (10 minutes) and work in Stamford, CT. Wouldn't mind working on projects with fellow enthusiasts once the weather gets nicer.
