After seeing MameMaster! share his new pickup and pics of his game room, I think it's time for everybody to drag out their cameras and take new pics or share their most recent ones. If anything differs currently from the pic you show, explain the differences. Also, feel free to name off any other games you might own that aren't in the picture or are in storage.
Here's mine. The gap in the ceiling is from where I knocked out a wall of a walk-in closet. I'm going to mount a couple of speakers up there when I patch it up for some game room music and I'll tie it to a TV that's going to be mounted on the back wall for sports during parties or TV/movies while I work on the games.

From left to right...
- Bride of Pinbot
- Twilight Zone
- The Addams Family
- Lord of the Rings
- Attack From Mars
- Spider-Man
- The Simpsons Pinball Party
Games I have that aren't in the game room right now are:
- Revenge From Mars
- The Simpsons (Data East)
- OXO
- Jurassic Park
- World Cup Soccer '94
Also have a bunch of arcade cabinets stored away or in my garage. The only game not pictured that's in the game room is Punch-Out!! and it's behind me in this picture.

Mine is certainly no where near as impressive as some...

When all my pins were in one row it looked like this. To fit more games in I had to break up the row and put 3 on each side.
-
Here's how my room is set up now. Please excuse the 2 blurry pics. The racers are in the back right corner.

Everybody has an LOTR, it seems, and most have a CFTBL.
-
Simply beautiful, Krupa.
-
Krupa-- :notworthy:
That's exactly the type of Game Room that I had in mind when I moved into a house. My wife obviously had other ideas.... :P
Nice job.
-
Thanks guys! It's a renovated 2-story, 2-car garage. It's detached from the house so the wife doesn't complain too much. Except that I spend too much time there.
-
Where did you find your gameroom carpet? I need that... :D

I ordered mine from Owen Carpet in Georgia. It's called Starry Night. Astro Carpet Mills in Georgia is good too. When I was searching they seemed to be the two best suppliers I could find. Even with shipping to PA they had the best prices. I got lucky and bought 3 remnants that fit the room perfectly. I switch out the overheads with blacklights for parties and it looks great.
-
I'd clean out my entire gameroom for a LOTR and move onto another hobby. So far nobody's taken me up on that offer. :lol
With as many games as you have mentioned I would be surprised if selling them off didn't get you most of the way there.
I have only played one decent LOTR and it didn't seem that good.
-
I like Krupa's wall color. Hmm....

I like how the storage boxes / seats under the pins color match the pins.

Thanks. They're storage ottomans from target. Great for storing pinball parts and for the 4 year-old to use as a stool when she wants to play Dracula.

That's a great idea. I've thought of just using bins, but the ottoman sounds like a better route. I think I'll pick a couple up on my way home tonight. My kid isn't turning 2 until the end of April, but he's already into plunging the ball and flipping a little. I gotta keep encouraging that!

I don't have either. Kind of want a CGTBL but personally will not ever own a LOTR to keep, maybe buy it cheap and flip it but never a personal collection game.
Currently don't have a picture because I have pins in 3 different places but I'll make a list:
Revenge From Mars
High Speed
Centaur
Seven Up
Jolly Roger
Carnival Queen (Bally Bingo Machine, something I will leave in my gameroom when I move out)
Pennant Fever (Pitch and Bat, does that still count?)
Had an Apollo 13 many moons ago but with the price I paid for it I had to sell it. Just can't justify costs sometimes on a game to keep.

Curious as to why you don't see LOTR as a collection game...

To be honest I haven't played it much but the few times that I did, it just didn't play well. I think it looks really cool but just never a game I can get into. Then again, LOTR as a movie never really appealed to me either. I don't know, it's an alright game but just isn't for me, or not on my A List for games.

This thread makes me want to get divorced

You don't need a divorce, you need to know someone in the storage business. That way when you buy something you don't ever let them see it.

Eh, I've got a wife and a kid and I still manage...

The Tales From the Crypt and Dracula pins in my gameroom are actually my wife's machines. Bought and paid for by her. I keep telling her she wants a Monster Bash but she won't listen.

Krupa, can you tell me the paint color you used?

Behr "Plum Harvest" at Home Depot. They had a bunch of similar shades as well. The wife and I must've come home with 10 different purple samples.

Thank you!

Krylon Triple Thick is good stuff. Unheated doesn't matter when you take the steps to preserve.

It's just delaying the inevitable. Now instead of two disparate thaw/freeze temps you have three. Glass just doesn't hold onto ink/paint forever when the temp is frequently changing.
-
Everyone say a prayer or whatever for all those unheated garage stored backglasses. :-[
I have heat and air conditioning. I built a separate structure to house the heat pump so I wouldn't lose any space for games.

Not necessarily. I have had mixed results with TT...it just depends on the glass. Also, TT just holds the paint together...if it's going to separate, the paint will still come off the glass...triple thick coating and all.
I have also had TT ruin a good glass by pulling all the paint off after it dried.
Use that stuff with caution!
-
Yeah, I only use it with backglasses that have a problem. Since I work mostly in games that have been broken for a 10-15 years I end up using it on most of my games. I have a couple that I left alone because they didn't need it. I have yet to have TT ruin a backglass. I had one scary moment, though, where it saturated all of a specific ink layer, and it curled up. It settled down and adhered back to the glass when it dried but for a little while I was convinced I had trashed a replacement backglass I just bought.
-
I am at the point now where I would almost prefer reproducible translites. They don't look that different in a lot of cases and having that fragile expensive piece of art, that often causes machines to be parted if it's crap, is among the most painful parts of this hobby.
-
I have no money, no pinballs and all i can feel is jealousy towards your collections. :'(

Get a job - we did.
Come live to Portugal, try to find a job that pays enough to own a house with enough space to store 10 pinball machines. I dare you.
PS: Try to find 10 pinball machines here also.

Hahahah. Monster Bash is a fun table. I love the 'AHHH' and smacking sounds when hitting Frankenstein. Each Lord of the Rings I've played has been pretty cool. I like the table. I don't own any pins, but I wouldn't own any before....'80.....though my faves start with Cyclone. I like rides, and ramps, and mega multi-ball. However, the late 90s tables I think kind of suck.
-
I have a harley davidson 2nd edition and fish tales on their way. Ill post a pic when I get them added!
-
Twilight Zone
Theatre of Magic
El Dorado
Klondike
The newest addition is the arcade cabinet.
XBox and Large screen TV are to the left of everything (I am an equal opportunity gamer)
Now it's time to actually finish the room.
-
Nice game rooms...I'd love to be able to afford/have the space for one pinball table (probably either Twilight Zone, Attack From Mars or Guns N Roses) but funds dont allow it. I do work, but not nearly enough playing around money to have that kind of stuff.

All good things come in time.
