I have been using a wireless keyboard and mouse for years, and it has always been a little awkward. I used the mouse on the cp and held the keyboard when I used it.
I just bought this mini keyboard, and I think it is going to work great. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004I4SSCQ/ref=oss_product (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004I4SSCQ/ref=oss_product)
I wouldn't want to do a lot of work on it, but I think it will work for the amount of stuff I am willing to do on an arcade monitor. Anything major, and I remote.

That does look like a sweet little keyboard.
I'm looking for something like that, maybe I'll give one of those a try.

Looks cool. I'm thinking about using my old Blackberry as a keyboard for my cab.

Looks nice, but wow...pretty spendy.

I like the Blackberry keyboard idea because I can type alot faster on those.
Bob A did a review on one that is much like a blackberry keypad.
I really would like to have function keys though too.

I've been searching for a small, very small, keyboard with a trackball that is connected and powered via USB, I don't want wifi or bluetooth. I've found some that are close to what I was looking for that are for use in cars, not exactly what I was hoping to find though. I also found some cool stainless steel industrial bolt on keyboards, but could never find a site actually selling them, or a distributor for that matter. Then I came across the app for Blackberries that allows a Blackberry to be used as a computer keyboard through either usb, bluetooth, or wifi. Since I already have a Blackberry that I don't use, the price works great for me.

Been tempted, but never ordered one because I don't really need it.

I have been using this little keyboard for a little while, and I am very happy with it. It just works. It is so much easier than the wireless keyboard and mouse I have been using for years. I haven't even had to remote in yet because this thing seems to be fully functional. I forget to turn it off all the time, and it shuts itself down. It has been a little over 2 weeks, and I haven't had to recharge the battery.
I think it is expensive, but I would pay it again in a heartbeat. Convenience is worth a little extra cost.

I have one of the lenovo ones. Is it very handy and does work pretty well. There are a few things I do not like about it though. There are no F1 - F12 keys on it. Not even with a shift buttons. So that is a little frustrating at times, but not very often. I also forget there is an on/off switch on the back. I forget to shut it off and the batteries die pretty often. Glad I have rechargeable batteries for mine. Just wanted to put my two cents in there on the short comings of the Lenovo one.

Hi,
I too picked up the Lenovo HTPC keyboard this fall. It does work pretty well, not as handy as a full-size keyboard, but a decent compromise for light-duty use. I use the volume buttons on mine most-often to tweak the volume between different games.
To get around the lack of F1-F12 function keys, I've simply remapped those in my Mame config to use "Ctrl+1", "Ctrl+2", etc. instead. Seems to work pretty well.
I too have forgotten to turn off the keyboard on the back and had my batteries die as a result, that's a poorly implemented feature (having to turn it on/off all the time), but not too big a deal for me.
Regards,
Ken

What about this for $4.99? I already have an ipod touch which I use to control my itunes jukebox on my arcade cabinet. Why not a full keyboard?
