Hello
First of all, I'd like to mention that this appears in the Miscellaneous Arcade section as well. It seems like it may be a better fit here though. Not sure which section is more appropriate. Please let me know and I'll remove the other.
Anyway, I'm hoping to convert an Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 machine to Mame for my nephews. However, I plan on holding onto the board so that I can convert it back after they are grown. Basically, I don't want to damage the integrity of the machine.
I think I have a very simple solution for the power, but I would like to confirm it before I screw anything up. Would it be possible to disconnect the switching power supply (it currently is running at approx. 130 AC volts) and run a power strip into that wire? From there I could plug the computer in and leave the rest of the power wiring in the machine alone? When I'm ready to convert it back to Ultimate MK3 I would then replace the wiring from the power strip back to the switching power supply. Would this be feasible and not destroy anything?
Thank you in advance and I promise that it is not my intention to simply gut the machine.

Yeah, this is the wrong forum for this. You were correct in the first place posting it in Misc.
