I just finished rebuilding a GT Complete, and have it connected to a Nanao MS9-29 Monitor. The problem is the screen keeps spinning vertically, and I cannot locate a "Vertical Hold" :-[. I have a Sega City Manual with specifications on the Nanao MS9-29, but no mention in the four pages dedicated to the monitor for V-Hold.
Any suggestions out there?
Is this a Cap problem?
Did I miss a ground?
Are the Jamma Sync and Grounds reversed?
The GT-Board jumper and Monitor are both set to Medium resolution. Picture looks great, just keeps on spinning.
Thanks.

got a pic of how you wired up the video input?

I am actually going to re-do the wiring. But will send pictures when I get it done. Should be tonight.

I think I have adjusted all of these pots, but nothing improves the spinning image

everything looks ok from the pics set up wise
try connecting a 2k resistor from vertical sync to video ground at the video input plug
otherwise i would say that there is a faulty cap somewhere
-
Thanks grantspain. I will try that, and if not, remove the monitor and change some caps.

i worked on gt fore yesterday and the vertical sync is linked to the horizontal sync on the video input plug
try linking a wire over\(jam a bit of solder in) to see if that cures it
