Does anyone know the name of this game? When I was in like the 1st or 2nd grade (late '80s), we used to play this game in computer class that the teacher referred to as "Math Baseball" (that may have been the actual name). I believe that the game was for the Commodore 64 (or maybe some other education computer with similar specs).
Gameplay wise, you chose if you wanted to go for a single, double, triple, or homerun. Based on what you chose, the game would give you a question based on that difficulty. As far as I can remember, the graphics consisted simply of a baseball diamond and players on each base. Does anyone know what game this is? Memories of it just popped into my head.
There is another game from that era which I wish I knew the name of. It was also a math educational game that asked you simple addition/subtraction problems. When you got the question correct, you were rewarded with a simple graphic of a happy farmer (I think) smiling at you. If you got the question wrong, a mean looking lady frowned at you. Any ideas? :)

Hey gman,
There are so many MIA c64 games out there, especially in the educational title section. I did a little searching around, and found there is a game for the c64 called math baseball. It is by Daybreak software, and thats all I have on it.
I do recognize a math game with a smiley dude who could easily be a farmer when you get an answer right, and a frowny person when you get it wrong. It did more than just ask the math questions though. You had to tunnel around and capture numbers to complete the math problems. It was pretty much like a educational version of Dig Dug. The game is called "Number Nabber Shape Grabber".

Sorry I can't be of much help locating the game but I too had a lot of fun playing the C64 math games after school.
I have an original C64 printer I could sell you if you want it! ;D

Does anyone know where to find a link of a pic of either one of those games? I found a "Dig Dug screen" pic of "Number Nabber Shape Grabber", but I really want to see pics of the happy farmer and the mean old lady, just so I can verify that it's the same game. Nostalgia... ;)

Here ya go! I hope it was the game you were looking for! :)

Thanks for the pics, but I not sure that it is the right game. The game I remember had a picture of a mean looking lady when you got a question wrong. If my memory serves me correctly, the lady's graphics were red, while the farmer's graphics were green. As a little kid, I used to be scared to get the questions wrong because I did not want to see the mean lady's picture. (I think the mean lady was the farmer's mother)
By the way, I have not been able to get C64 on WinVice to run. I have all the roms, but I'm not exactly sure what I need to do or where I need to go to load them. I always get stuck on that iconic blue screen. Probably because i never really messed around with a C64 back in the day.

You just have to read the instructions...sorry couldn't resist :)
Now you just have to load the game...I believe with Winvice (going on memory) go into file->options and select Autostart Disk/Image and then select the disk image of the game you want to load. There are also tutorials:
