Hi,
Have an Electrocoin Xenon JAMMA cab which I'm slowly fixing up. I recently stripped it down (in order to move it up two flights of stairs) and rebuilt it in situ. I plugged it in to test it with no monitor or board attached and there was a high pitched whining noise. I unplugged it, checked all my connections and plugged it in again. No more noise and the marquee light came on. Pretty happy at this stage.
I then reconnected the monitor and plugged a board in. Marquee light came on, nice crackle from the monitor but no picture, no coin light, no sound. Checked the voltages on the power supply and I'm only getting 4.3v where I should be getting 5v but more worryingly I'm only getting 1v where I should be getting 12v. So I guess I blew something somewhere along the way. I'm not sure what the next step is or, for that matter, what I did wrong the first time around. Would really appreciate any pointers before I dive back in again.
The PSU is a Hantarex 250.
Best Regards.

probably just the psu, seen some on ebay recently
its probably just a bad solder joint on the psu but if you take a look please note those caps have a half life of a thousand years and really pack a punch

Hi Grant,
Thanks for the reply. Will take a look on eBay - don't fancy killing myself. Had to discharge the monitor last year to replace the cap kit - never been so scared in my life.
Best Regards.
