Hello, I am working on a cocktail cabinet and have 2 things more to buy, but I don't know exactly what to buy or where.
Check out this page here --I'm not buying this, just using its pics as an example:

I have a wood cabinet and need to know where I can buy that wood strip stuff they use that runs around the top wood piece of the cabinet. It's the stuff that is like 8ft long and 5/8" wide and bends and whatnot. I think you glue it on, but I'm not sure. Can someone fill me on on what this is called, where to buy it, and how to cut/install it? I'm looking for a wood look and not a chrome or black rubber look, check out that amazon page for pics of what i'm looking for.
Also, I need to make a control panel and am wondering how you make it so that it's not so rigid. I dont want it to be done at a 90 degree angel. Something a little softer looking is what I'm going for. Check out those pics again as that control panel is what i'm looking to recreate.
-Thanks for any help.

the wood strip is called edgebanding and can be purchased at just about any hardware store that carries lumber. You can find it in many different species of wood, so you'll wanna match it to whatever you choose for the cabinet. The stuff is real easy to use, i usually apply it with a hot iron. I bought a cheap "Band it" edge banding trimmer and it does a pretty decent job for a small project. Get it close to flush with the trimmer and then fine tune the excess with some 220 grit sandpaper, just take your time sanding as its easy to take off to much at the corners.
