Title: isolation transformer voltage too high?
Post by: Brogner on August 19, 2003, 04:29:59 am
To anyone that can answer this, can an isolation transformer put out too much voltage and ruin a chassis?
I would think the output would be 120 volts. What is the normal output ?

Isolation transformers in cabinets usually output between 110 and 120 volts. I can't see any way it can go higher unless there is a serious short inside the transformer which is unlikely.
