Title: BYOAC's very own in...The Green Hornet!
Post by: Donkey_Kong on January 11, 2011, 12:20:30 am: Hello fellow BYOAC'ers. Just over 4 years ago right here on BYOAC in the main forum a business was born via hand carved arcade decor/sideart. We try not to stray too far from home, but sometimes it is required to stay busy. So over the years we have become known as more of a sign company as just about anything. We still love arcade gaming themed work and plan to re-enter the classic gaming world upon launching our new website(in the next few days).

But today we want to announce something that we consider ourselves very privileged to have been involved with, and that was assisting in the decorating of the set of Sony Pictures film due out 1-14-11, The Green Hornet! We would like to sincerely thank this community both members and admin as both have played a HUGE part in our continued success with our carving business.

So far we have seen 3 of our signs visible in the trailers. If you spot one during the show and want to help note the location and maybe time, please come back here and report it. Post by: Donkey_Kong on January 11, 2011, 01:02:32 am: If you are going to try and spot the signs, pay particular attention to the newspaper office scenes. I have already spotted 3 of them in or near Britt Reid's office in the trailers.

The items we haven't seen yet are those big LA District Attorney plaques. Now, I know these are not totally omitted or anything crazy like that, and they will be easy to spot because they are so colorful. Obviously these will show during a DA/podium news conference type scene. Anyway yea, again for those...when they received those LA DA plaques, the award winning set decorators at Sony were supposedly "Blown Away" by the quality of the carve and paint job! So needless to say we are excited about those two pieces, as well as all of em.

Heck I might as well just post the pieces right here...

Looking forward to the new site, and keep up the awesome work!!

Much of the other items are concentrated to that office area as well as I have seen them in other trailers. Anyway, now you have an idea of where to look.

They had the old Green Hornet tv show on last night, I noticed a little unintentional arcade game reference in the old Hornet Logo. Look at the eyes. ;D

Post by: Donkey_Kong on January 16, 2011, 09:39:43 pm: Finally! We've been waiting for almost 2 years and it's felt like an eternity! Everybody in our party loved the movie, you guys are right...it's fun!

Good laughs and lots of eye candy for car lovers, gun lovers, etc. The fight scenes are amazing and innovative as advertised. You can see some of it was designed for 3D, and though we weren't in a 3D theatre, they were still pretty sweet. Get out and see it, it is a great time.

Oh, and the most prominently displayed piece of ours is the huge 'journalist creed' which is very visible in multiple scenes. The others were harder to spot and you almost have to have made them to spot them.... ;)

Thanks again for the support here, it means a lot!
