Title: Games won't start maximized when using ArcadeFX? Help
Post by: soslo on August 18, 2003, 02:10:06 pm
I just finished my MAME cab this weekend and I am using ArcadeFX as a front end. The only problem is that it starts the games in a windowed mode.

Is there a setting in either arcadeFX or mame that I need to select to get the games to run at full screen? I dislike seeing the FE behind the games that I am playing...

TIA

I haven't got my machine here to check it out, but I think you have to edit your mame.ini...

There might also be a setting in the configmenu in AFX but, I can't remember seeing it there. I'll check out later.

Are you running MAME32? If so, you should be able to go to Default Game Options (in MAME), and somewhere in there there is checkbox that says run in windowed mode. Just uncheck that. Maybe that will solve your problem....

helios > I am using ArcadeFX which I *assume* uses Mame32. The games work in full-screen when I use Mame32 directly, but not when I use ArcadeFX.

Well, it is obvious that I am not as attentive as I should be. I found the settings in the first AFX option in the menu.

To get there, just click the ArcadeFX logo and select MAME settings. There are checkboxes in there for the basic settings.
