even thou Im not looking for PINK joysticks..but i did find some ones that would go perfect to my cab.

http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/119-paradise-led-bubble-top-arcade-joystick.html (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/119-paradise-led-bubble-top-arcade-joystick.html)

how durable are these?.  I bought some new U360's and they DISINTEGRATED with in a month of playing robotron.  Will never buy again.  I picked up some Xgaming undestructable ones...had them for about a year now and I cannot complain. Very good.  Will  these things with stand hardcore gaming such as robotron.  Wonder if I can just install the joystick rod this into the xgaming ones???

You know, I've been real happy with the "operation" of my u360's, but your disentegration comment is spot on. Both of mine are showing a LOT of oxidation on the shafts, and are quite "sticky", until I completely remove the shaft, polish it with a dremel, and then lube it.

And that treatment doesn't last all that long.

Kind of annoying...

Unfortunately, I need something stronger than the Japanese stick.

I had been looking into ordering a few things from Paradise arcade, but found it difficult getting all the info I needed and I didn't want to take any chances.

So I'll have to keep looking.

Thanks.

If you need something "stronger" than the JP sticks then the only other big name I can think of is Happs. I think they are made more ruggedly but they don't feel anywhere near as nice or accurate as JP sticks. Just my opinion of course. People's taste can vary. With the JP sticks (Seimitsu or Sanwa) you can choose from a myriad of different coloured and styled ball tops. The Happs range is restricted to about 4 colours I think and pink is not one of them.

I'm surprised to see that people are wrecking joysticks on games. What on earth are you doing to them?  :P  I play Robotron perfectly well with my Seimitsu LS-32s. Not that I'm any good at it though.

I made a girlish cabaret for my daughter:

The stick is from paradiseArcade.
The buttons are sanwa I bought locally.

I really like the hawaiian pink stick, its great, feels and plays great, has 2-4-8 restrictors and cost next to nothing.

Ponyboy has pink buttons(solid, translucent, or pearl), and we have pink joysticks.

We can do pink solid or bubble tops on JLF's, JLW's, LS-32, LS-32-01's, and Zippyy's long or short.
And all of those can be lit up, for led top sticks except the JLWs.

We can also do pink bulbs in white buttons.  However, we do not have the pink t-molding we thought was going to arrive.

Sorry you didn't get all the info you needed, I thought we had answered everything on KLOV, but sometimes the messaging system is not the best for organizing messages and evidently I missed something, the best way to get me is to hit me up at sales@paradisearcadeshop.com or bryan@paradisearcadeshop.com

If you are looking for "tough" sticks, but don't need lit, my recommendation would be JLW's with pink tops.

I second the LL referral.

I've never ordered from Paradise, but it seems they're still pretty "new to the game" considering some other posts I've read.

Check out Lizard Lick (http://www.lizardlick.com/), GroovyGameGear (http://groovygamegear.com) and Ultimarc (http://www.ultimarc.com/). divemaster127 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=47066.0) also has a good selection of Happ parts at cheaper prices.
LL and GGG are my main two vendors, Ultimarc for specialty items, and Gary (divemaster) for any bulk items...they've all been around for a while, have great service, and reliable products.

I've actually ordered from all the vendors listed in the previous post and would do so again without hesitation. I will say that Paradise has given me the quickest turnaround times.

i have not ordered from all on the list but some of them.. ( and before im done with this hobbie im sure ill have used them all. laughs) and i can say paradise was by far the quickest shipping.  and i was very happy with the quality.

not sure what being new has to do with one decision to buy.  we all have to start somewhere.

Business credibility. Fast shipping is great and all, but peace-of-mind goes a long way. If I have to worry about whether I'd get the right item or a reliable product, I'd rather give my money to someone who's been around for a while, to ease that worry.
No slight on Paradise, I'd just like to hear more good-experiences for any vendor before I commit to sending hundreds of my hard-earned dollars.

I've ordered a few things from paradise arcade.  Fast shipping.  I have found their prices to be good and Brian to be very helpful when dealing with him directly.  The prodcuts I have gotten were quality products and I would recommend them.  I have also bought from GGG, and Ultimarc too.  Paradise aracade is a newer shop, but I would order from them again without hesitation, if that means anything.

just spent money with both Bryan/PAS and Randy/GGG. I wish they would stop getting so fluffed up with each other. Bryan is a new, and welcome, addition to the vendors on this board. I have to offer my two cents on my recent purchasing experience with Paradise Arcade Shop:

Parts: A
Shipping Speed/Packing/Candy-as-bribery: A+
Communications: C

I have to explain the communications part. I sent a question via his web site, which was never answered. However, Bryan was active enough on KLOV that I was able to post my question via a thread, to which someone familiar with his line-up answered. Apparently he had been ill, just moved, etc. I never heard back via the business email though. I do really like the candy. But I really REALLY like being able to get a hold of someone when there is a problem/question.

IL-lumination rgb led's from Paradise ROCK. The rgb's are great units; tiny, bright, easy to install. Cant wait for my LED-WIZ to arrive from Randy, so I can really push them.

Vanilla, sorry about the email, and I should have known better about yesterday, evidence that I need more than 2 hours sleep before posting on the forums :)

We did move our house and business on the 20th, family arrived the 21st, Xmas season is crazy in retail, I was in the hospital(not for work) on the 26th (awesome diet though, I lost 10 lbs in 4 days), and our server overloaded with emails and started to reject them somewhere in the middle or all that, in other words, the situation was less than ideal. Not an excuse, things happened and we did our best to place the priority on getting orders out so communication over the holidays was below our standards too.

Emails should take less than 2 days, orders should arrive in less than a week from being placed, and all orders we ship should have candy...  If there is ever a reason any of this doesn't happen let us know, we will never get upset with a quick email reminder or question.  Our emails are:
sales@paradisearcadeshop.com (both Susan and I read this, she does inventory and shipping so...)
bryan@paradisearcadeshop.com (only I check this)
help@paradisearcadeshop.com (We both see this but it's more me for troubleshooting)
Mahalo, Happy new year

I ordered JLW's from Lizard Lick along with a neon green balltop and sanwa buttons.  They are awesome.

I ordered these:
http://www.lizardlick.com/Sanwa-JLW-TM-8-Joystick_p_271.html (http://www.lizardlick.com/Sanwa-JLW-TM-8-Joystick_p_271.html)

Then you can order whatever color balltop that you want.  (35 mm) You'll want the neon pink.
http://www.lizardlick.com/Sanwa-35mm-Ball-Tops_c_210.html (http://www.lizardlick.com/Sanwa-35mm-Ball-Tops_c_210.html)

And these are the buttons: (note:  the orange part on the button is the screw which will not be visible from the top of the control panel)

When I dealt with Paradise Arcade Shop, I had a product issue: some of the micro-switch I received where DOA (not 100% functional: at a higher than expected rate)

So I contacted them.  Bryan was on a business trip when this happen, so I ended up having both representative (him while in travel and his wife from Hawaii) email me at the same time about resolving the issue; they ended up sending me replacement switch in no time and the issue was quickly resolved.  I apparently had hit a bad bunch of switch, all my others (I have quite a few) were flawless and have been since, with toddlers hitting very hard on them.

All to say that communication was excellent regardless of the situation and that they stand behind their product. This time it was microswitch, but other times it could be a pricey item. I am very confident that no matter what I would end up with excellent post-sale service.

I have dealt with other dealers too, Ultimard and GGG were all great.  And had no issues with anyone - which is a good thing, but to compare oranges with oranges, I'd need to have dealt with defects on all ends.

I have since spotted a local reseller, and the products that they do carry I buy directly from them nowaday. Its the same product from the same source for similar price in the end, but I like the amusement coin-up related discussions I get everytime I walk in their store... :)

Again, you can't beat that pink joystick, its awesome, and its pink. For my daughter it was excellent.

Actually. you got back to my last pm at KLOV. I sent three or four questions and you responded, "I can't honestly remember if we resolved this...". And that was all. So I assumed that you didn't want to be bothered.

Nevertheless, a couple of those question I had concerned the LED joystick and RGB LEDs, but I've now decided that lit joyticks and buttons are too complicated for what I need.

Starburst, which Marsupial recommended, had no reference to pink buttons on their site.

As for Ponyboy, I couldn't find a web site for him. I sent him a question via pm here about the Rollie switches a week ago, but I didn't received a reply. So I'm still looking for pink butttons.

I did finally get a couple of 4" long pink joysticks from an eBay seller and will have to get around to machining them down on my lathe so that they would fit the original Ms. Pac-man joystick assemblies I have.

But for my other project cabinet, even though the JAMMAboards.com joysticks weren't leaf switch joysticks they had the needed small "below control panel" profile, so I picked up a couple. Unfortunately, they didn't work because the sticks are too short: http://www.jammaboards.com/store/classic-arcade-joystick-8-way-to-4-way-switchable-/prod_282.html (http://www.jammaboards.com/store/classic-arcade-joystick-8-way-to-4-way-switchable-/prod_282.html)

As for your pink joystick: http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/20-pink-top.html. (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/20-pink-top.html.) Since it has the longest stick of your 4-ways I asked you what the profile(thickness) was of the assembly that goes below the control panel, and I also asked about the hole spacing for the bolts.

(And even though you are still out of stock, it would also be interesting to know if your Rollie switches have gold plated contacts).

Darren, sometimes pms on the forums are difficult to keep track of, my intent was to proactively check in with you to see the status by writing you, not to say go away.  For some reason I thought I had responded and just wanted to shoot you a message in case I hadn't so you didn't think I was ignoring you. A message back saying, "No I was waiting for your reponse" would have resulted in the questions being answered.

I would be more than happy to help you out with this, please shoot me an email at bryan@paradisearcadeshop.com and I'll get it all taken care of.  Also depending on which sticks you bought off ebay(and we have short pink sticks there) we may have shafts so you don't need to machine them down.

I don't have the measurements here on the joystick, but I will post them here and on the site on Sunday.  I thought we had an info sheet for that but it's not on the website.

Of course Rollie leaf switches have gold contacts.  I am not sure why one go through the trouble of building leaf switches without a high quality contact surface.  Believe me, we are as anxious to get these in as anyone!

As far as credibility goes, we have:
over 2 dozen positive trader ratings on KLOV
over 350 positive ratings on ebay(we were 100% until someone told us to send him a free Babystar or he'd neg us on buttons, we said no, he negged us, Ebay said since it was on gmail and not ebay messaging they wouldn't do anything)

If you don't want to send hundreds of dollars of hard earned money, try us out with a smaller order. We are happy to work to win your trust and business.

Darren the note was simply because I couldn't see what the reply was that was sent.  I was actually trying to shoot you a note and ask if we had resolved it so that you didn't think I was dropping it, the intention was to say, "Hey I'm here, are we still going to do this", not "Go away".

Let me know what joysticks you got on Ebay, we may have short handles.  We also sell short handled joysticks on ebay and the site, both with pink ball tops.

The joysticks I need are:
1) Pink 4-way ball-top joystick for a Ms. Pac-man control panel. (Leaf switches).
2) Pink 4-way ball-top joystick for a Ms. Pac-man control panel. (Micro switches).
3) Any color ball-top for a wood control panel. This must have a small profile under the cp.
4) Blue 2/4/8-way ball-top joysticks for wood control panels. (Low noise micro switches).

Number 1 is difficult. Number 2 you have. Number 3 I was asking you about. Number 4 is new on my list.

Quote

I will text Ponyboy and ask about the pm.  I am not sure why he wouldn't have answered that.

For conversations where you need to work through figure out what you need, email really is a much easier tool for us.  The problem with the forums is that we can't always see what was sent and so when conversations are drawn out over time, I only get to see half of the conversation sometimes.  I don't know what has been said.  It is also just much easier to manage communications through email that pm's.  Bottom line is that I apologize for the confusion, my intent was to help with the project, although that doesn't seem how it was perceived.

They were actually stand alone questions that didn't need to reference previous questions and answers. (I never delete what any previous responses when I send back any way and still have everything we discussed in my private messages at KLOV). But I'll use e-mail from now on.

BTW. I picked up two blue and two pink 4" joysticks like from eBay. (See image).

I will respond in email.

Unfortunately, the mailbox at KLOV has a 1000 message limit :( up until I started this business I kept all my messages....  As I said I was trying to make sure we had answered your questions.

1) The sticks you got were wico, I don't know anyone who carries those stock anymore
2) LS-32 or the short zippy will work great here
3) Let's figure this out on email, let me know the thickness you need
4) JLW's would work great for 4/8, or you can get Zippy's and swap out the micros.
